Funeral services for C.A. Bass, 52, of 1310 W. Washington, were held at Johnson-Moore Funeral Chapel Monday afternoon.  Rev. James Logan officiated and interment was in Fairview Cemetery.
Mr. Bass died early Friday morning from a heart condition at the home of a son, C.A. Bass, Jr., 207 N. 8th.  He
had been ill 4 weeks.
Born in Bryan, Texas October 30, 1905, the son of Mr. and Mrs. E.E. Bass, deceased was educated in Bryan schools.
He was employed as baker at Cagles Bakery and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
Survivors are his widow; 2 sons, C.A. Bass, Jr., Denison; and Robert Gene Bass in the U.S. Army in Germany; 2 daughters, Mrs. A.A. Humphries, Quantico, Virginia and Mrs. H.F. Easton, La Jose, Pennsylvania; a brother, Ray Bass, Houston; a sister, Mrs. Ed Mosley, Welborn, Texas and 6 grandchildren.
