Funeral services for J.M. Henderson were conducted Tuesday afternoon from the Short-Murray chapel with Rev. W.J.H. Petter, officiating.  The Masonic order had charge of exercises at the grave.  Interment was at Fairview.
Born January 25, 1893 at Conway, Arkansas, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. W.M. Henderson.  His schooling was received at Abbott, Texas, and he was a member of the  Episcopal church and of the Masonic Lodge, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the B. of R.T.
He was married November 15, 1920 to the former Miss Rachel Cowell.  He had been a conductor on the Katy for several years and made Denison his home for the past 31 years.
Survivors include his widow, 630 W. Monterey; one son, Jerry Henderson; 3 [sic] brothers, Frank Edwards, New Mexico; Dewey Edwards, Arizona; and 3 sisters, Mrs. H.F. Holland, Abbott; Mrs. W.T. Paris, Houston; and Mrs. C.R. Cave, Rotan.
