Funeral services for Walter B. Starr, Denison agent for the S.P. road, who died in Houston in the company hospital Monday, were held here Thursday, Rev. Jackson C. Oglesby, pastor of the Waples Memorial church, officiating.  Interment was at Fairview.
Mr. Starr came to Denison from Anna in 1919 where he was agent for the same road.   He was a member of Waples church and of the Rotary club.
Born in 1880, he was the son of Rev. and Mrs. D.E. Starr, his father being an early preacher in this section in the Methodist church.  He had been ill for some months and had gone to the company hospital for treatment.
Survivors are the widow; a son, Dr. David Wright Starr of the Southern Methodist University faculty in Dallas; a brother, W.H. Starr of Electra; 2 sisters, Mrs. Walter E. Davis of Austin and Mrs. E.J. Parker of Sherman; and a niece, Mrs. Norman Dorchester of Denison.
