MRS. VIRGINIA A. MOORE,
ESTEEMED DENISON LADY,
DIED LAST MONDAY NIGHT.

After being an invalid for the past eleven years, Mrs. Virginia A. Moore died at the family residence, 530 West Chestnut street, Monday night. Her invalid condition was brought about by a broken hip bone, but death is attributed to an illness which developed some time weeks ago. The deceased had reached the age of 82 years and had been a resident of Denison for an half century. In the early history of the city, the husband, Mr. L. B. Moore, who passed away a few years ago, was one of the first bankers, and for many years conducted a banking house on Main street in connection with a brother-in-law, the banking house of Rohrbough & Moore being known far and wide as one of the most substantial institutions of North Texas. After a long and successful business career the firm was finally dissolved. Mr. Rohrbough removing from the city. Mr. Moore purchased the Merrill Jewelry House and then for a number of years was active in retail business life. During all these years Mrs. Moore was his faithful companion, a lady of amiable disposition and possessing womanly characteristics which made her loved by all who knew her. She always held a warm welcoming hand to all and in her death a goodly lady passes onto her reward.
The surviving children are Mrs. John Kemper, Mrs. H. H. Cummins and Mrs. Minnie Sturgis, all being at the bedside at the moment of death.
The remains were interred in Fairview cemetery Wednesday afternoon, the funeral being held within the home and being conducted by Rev. R. E. Harvey, pastor of the First M. E. church.
