DENISON - Funeral for Mamie Kelly Toone, 71-year-old Denison resident who died Tuesday in a local hospital, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Johnson-Moore Chapel, with the Rev. James rogers officiating. Burail will be in Fairview Cemetery.

Mrs. Toone was born April 23, 1919, in Denison, daughter of W.M. and Willie Kelly. She was educated in Denison and received her bachelor's degree from Texas Woman's University. She married Joseph C. Toone June 6, 1942, in Denison. Mrs. Toone retired in 1984 after 21 years of teaching school for the birdville Independent School District, Forth Worth. She moved to Denison in 1984 from Fort Worth. Mrs. Toone was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband of Denison; son, Joseph C. Jr. of Arlington; daughter Linda Childers of Fayetteville, Ark.; two brothers, Warner Kelly of Denison; Marvin Kelly of Greenville; two sisters, Catherine Bailey of Longview, Gladys Marie Palmore of Denison; and four grandchildren.

DENISON - Joseph C. Toone, 72, of Route 3, died Thursday in a local hospital. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Johnson-Moore Chapel with the Rev. James Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

Toone was born Aug. 26, 1918, in Mosheim, son of Joseph P. and Lyda Toone. He received his schooling in Sweetwater
and at North Texas State Teachers College. Toone married Mamie Kelly June 6, 1942, in Denison, and she died Feb. 12, 1991. He was an engineering specialist for LTV Corp. in Grand Prairie, retiring in 1976. Toone was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He had retired as a master sergeant in the U.S.Air Force in 1961, serving during World War Ii and Korea.

Surviving are a son, Joseph C. Jr. of Arlington; daughter, Linda Childers of Fayetteville, Ark.; sister, Gladys Blair of Post and four grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Kirby Cotter, Henry Walker, Don Doyle, Walter Knight, Don Sinor and Ed Dietz.
