DENISON - Alma Cleo Parks Broyles, 94, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, Dec. 19, 2010 at her home.
Mrs. Broyles was born Sept. 3, 1916 in Crowell, the daughter of Vergil and Minnie (Little) Allen. She married Doyle Parks March 9, 1935 in Duncan, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on Sept. 13, 1974 after 39 years of marriage. Cleo married Clarence Broyles April 10, 1976 he preceded her in death Sept. 27, 1984.
She loved to cook and play bingo. Cleo was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at American Legion and VFW. She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister. Cleo will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Mrs. Broyles is survived by her beloved daughter, Mary Sue Carpenter of Bells; grandchildren, Debbie Staud of Pottsboro, and Stanley Carpenter of Bells, Charla Hull of Oklahoma City, and Mike Chamberlain of Pennsylvania; eight great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Cleo was preceded in death by her two husbands; daughter, Jan Chamberlain; sisters, Irene Poe, Idell Allen, Donna Bishop, Billie Evelyn Franklin, Wanda Werhman and Imagene Allen and brother, James Willis Allen.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2010 at Fairview Cemetery with Chaplain Mike Hermanson officiating. Family visitation will be held from 6 -7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2010 at Fisher Funeral Chapel.
