Funeral services for Mrs. W.R. (Edna) McDonald, 65, were held Tuesday afternoon at the Bratcher Chapel with Rev. R. Barron officiating.  Interment was in Fairview Cemetery.
Mrs. McDonald, native of Denison and widow of Wylie R. McDonald, died at her home Sunday evening, April 20, from a heart attack.  Mrs. McDonald had been in ill health for several years but her death was unexpected.  She had just returned
from visiting friends when she collapsed and died.
Mr. McDonald, a retired postal transportation service official died March 11 after a lingering illness.
Mrs. McDonald was born in Denison, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Davis.  She attended Denison schools and started to work for the Tinsman Drug store after her graduation from high school
She remained with that firm some 3 decades, until it went out of business and was a partner in establishing the Bear Drug Store.  Later, she operated the Post Office Drug Store, where Carl's Cafe now is located.
She and McDonald were married here August 25, 1945 and latter made their home for a few years at Ft. Worth, returning here after his retirement.
Mrs. McDonald was a member of Waples Church, the WSCS of that church, and the auxiliary of the Postal Transportation Association.
Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Claud Easterly, 522 West Acheson; and a step-daughter, Miss Alice Joy McDonald of Los Angeles, California.
