Friday, May 9, 1919 pg. 4 Paul Ayres, 13-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Ayres, residing a few miles northwest of Whitewright, died at an early hour Monday morning, May 5th. The young man had meningitis a few years ago and had never fully recovered from the effects of that attack. The burial was at Canaan Cemetery Monday afternoon, Rev. J.F. Fender conducting the service. The untimely death of this boy is regretted by all.   Tom W.
