Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Rodgers, wife of J.M. Rodgers of the Rose Hill community, southwest of Whitewright, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Tom Bean Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. David Griffin.  Interment will be in the Canaan Cemetery, directed by Glen Earnheart Funeral Home.  Pallbearers will be Jim Langford, Hubert Crosby, Jack Langford, Dug Rodgers, Joe Rodgers, and Gilbert Blythe.
Mrs. Rodgers died at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday.  She was born July 14, 1881 in Mississippi.  She was married in 1902 in Silasaw, Oklahoma.  She had resided in the Rose Hill community for ten years and was a member of the Baptist Church.
Besides her husband, she is survived by four sons and two daughters, Charlie and Bonnie Rodgers of Van Alstyne, Haskell Rodgers of Dallas and Buck Rodgers at home; Anna May Rodgers of Temple and Mrs. G.A. Mitchell of Howe.  She is also survived by a brother and a sister and several grandchildren.
