Thursday, October 25, 1956 pg. 1 Mrs. Liva C. Taylor, 73, died at her home here at 9:25 Monday after an illness lasting eight days. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. at Earnheart Funeral chapel, conducted by Rev. Homer A. Fudge and Rev. R.L. Hamm, Assembly of God ministers. Burial was in the Canaan Cemetery north of Whitewright. Pallbearers were Floyd Taylor, Melvin Taylor, Wheeler Marshall, Bud Whisenhunt, Pleze Whisenhunt, and Joe Norman. Mrs. Taylor was born January 15, 1883 in Clinton County, Kentucky, the daughter of Tom and Elizabeth Innis. She came to Texas in 1891, and lived most of her life in the Whitewright community. She was married to Lonzie H. Taylor December 9, 1897, who died a number of years ago. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church. Surviving are one son, John H. Taylor of Raymondville; one daughter, Mrs. Irene Whisenhunt of Whitewright; 15 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
