William and Laura had 13 children. Two children, a boy and a girl, died young and were buried in Arkansas.  Of the living
11 living children 8 were boys. When the time came to move to Texas all the family, except for two married girls, made the trip. The married boys along with wives and some in-laws made the trip to North Texas.
