Mrs. W.S. Sanders Buried Thursday

Mrs. W.S. Sanders, a life long resident of the Ethel community, died Wednesday, January 27, following an illness of several months which was caused by paralysis.  Funeral services were held Thursday at the Ethel Church of Christ with Harvey Scott in charge.
Pallbearers were: W.S. Culpepper, W.F. Bush, George Graham, C.J. Patterson, Cassie Warren and L. McFarlin, all neighbors of the Sanders family.  Flower girls were: Bobbie Abbott, Jaunita Williamson, Louise Hatfield, Mittie Mae Pilcher, Amy Jo Pilcher, Ethel Hurley, Josephine Hurley, Maruine Hurley, Cleo Voelkle, Lucile Voelkle, Leta Belle Thompson and Ella Veach McWhorter.
Mrs. Zora Ann Sanders was born Feb. 26, 1878 and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Welch, having been born only a short distance from where she died.  She was married to Will S. Sanders in December 1894, and was the mother of six children, all of whom were present when the end came.  She was a member of the Church of Christ and had lived a devoted Christian life.  She was a kind and sympathetic mother, a true and loyal wife.  She looked only for the higher and nobler things of life and had instilled these teachings into her children.  Mrs. Sanders was a wonderful mother and wife, and was prepared to meet her Savior, knowing the kind of a life she had lived, she was ready to go.
She is survived by her husband and children: Roy, Miss Oma Lee, Jeraldine, Helen, Mrs. Beulah Faulkner, all of this community and Mrs. Bertha Patterson of Houston, and one brother, S.T. Welch, several grandchildren and many other relatives.
Funeral arrangements were in charge of Daniel Funeral Home of Collinsville and interment was in the Ethel Cemetery.
Those attending from out-of-town were: Mrs. Ed. Hill and sister of Fort Worth, Mr. and Mrs. B.B. Burgin of Sherman, Johnnie Black, Dorchester, Mrs. Mattie Brooks, H.T. Patterson and family, Mrs. Mollie McGehee, all of Sherman; Mr. and Mrs. Bailey Faulkner and family of Whitesboro; and W.A. Tucker and family of Dorchester.
