SHERMAN - Funeral services for Billie Eugene Hurley will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 10 at the Woods Street Church of Christ. Bill Mayes of the church will officiate. Burial with military honors will be at Ethel Cemetery. Mr. Hurley, 83, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at his residence.
Bill was born July 3, 1928 near Collinsville, Texas to the late Ed and Mary (Voelkle) Hurley. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II and married Doris Hall in Sherman on February 22, 1952. Bill owned and operated Hurley TV for over forty years and was a longtime member of the Woods Street Church of Christ.
Mr. Hurley is survived by his wife of 59 years, Doris of Sherman; two daughters, Linda Mitchusson and husband Lynn of Sherman and Peggy Higgins and husband Mike of Austin; one son, Ken Hurley and wife Kelly of Denison; seven grandchildren, Leigh Ann Gokey and husband Brian of Allen, Shelly Griffin and husband Kris of Albuquerque, N.M., Katie Higgins of Round Rock, Stephen and Hilary Higgins both of Austin, and Lauren and Megan Hurley, both of Denison; four great-grandchildren; and one brother, Jerry Hurley and wife Betty of Alexandria, La.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Billy Don Hurley; and one brother, Charles Hurley.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Waldo Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Woods Street Church of Christ at 2100 N. Woods, Sherman, Texas 75092. The register book can be signed online at waldofuneralhome.com.
