Francis Edward McNeely, Jr., 84, went home to meet his Lord and Savior on Thursday, November 29, 2012.   Funeral services were held Monday morning at University Baptist Church.  Interment followed Monday afternoon in Elliott Cemetery, Van Alstyne, Texas.
Francis was born December 3, 1927, son of Francis Edward and Maud McNeely.  He grew up in Sherman, Texas, and graduated from Sherman High School.  After serving in the U.S. Navy, he earned a degree in mechanical engineering from Texas Tech University.  He met the love of his life, Martha Lavelle Williams, in Sherman and they married June 20, 1953.  Francis spent his career as a mechanical engineer for the Westinghouse Electric Corporation.  He moved to Ft. Worth in 1961 where he lived for the remainder of his life.  He enjoyed his retirement and was a volunteer for the Botanical Gardens, Citizens on Patrol, and Tarrant County College Computer User Group.  He enjoyed shooting sporting clays, winning many awards for his class, and attending the Westinghouse retiree luncheons.  He and Lavelle were members of University Baptist Church for over 50 years.  Francis was loved by his many friends, neighbors and family.  His grandchildren fondly referred to him as "Mac Mac."
Survivors include his wife of 59 years; daughter, Karen Zecy of Leawood, Kansas, and husband, Mark, and their children, Andrea and John; son, Norman McNeely of Wichita, Kansas and wife, Tracey, and their children, Kaitlyn and Joseph; daughter, Susan Cothern of Tyler and husband, Don, and their sons, William and Clark; his sister-in-law, Carol Chafin; nephew, Michael Chafin and wife, Tamara; and niece, Shelly Zuercher and husband, Ken, all of Round Rock.

Martha Lavelle Williams McNeely, 85, went home to meet her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, May 27, 2014.  Funeral services were held Friday morning at University Baptist Church, Ft. Worth.   Interment followed at Elliott Cemetery, Gunter, Grayson County, Texas.
She was born January 12, 1929 in Grayson County, daughter of Daisy McKinney and James Otis Williams.  She was a graduate of Sherman High School.  She attended Austin College and graduated from Texas State College for Women in Denton (now Texas Woman's University) with a degree in Spanish and English.   Her career as a teacher of over 20 years brought her great rewards as she retired from the Ft. Worth ISD.  Her greatest fulfillment was her role as a wife and mother.  She greatly enjoyed her Sunday school class at University Baptist Church and her role as a leader in Bible Study Fellowship.  She married the love of her life, Francis McNeely, Jr., on June 20, 1953. They were married almost 60 years.  Francis preceded her in death in November 2012.
Survivors include daughter, Karen and husband, Mark Zecy, and their children, John and Andrea, of Leawood, Kansas; son, Norman E. McNeely and wife, Tracey, and their children, Kaitlyn and Joseph E., of Wichita, Kansas; daughter, Susan and husband, Donald Cothern, and their children, William and Clark, of Tyler, Texas; sister, Carol Chafin; niece, Shelly Zuercher; and nephew, Michael Chafin of Round Rock, Texas.
