  Sherman, Texas - Bill Groves, 77, of Sherman, Texas, passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at his home. Bill was born April 16, 1939 in Dallas, Texas, the third son out of four boys born to Jimmy and Eva Groves. Bill is survived by his wife of 49 years, Carol Groves, and their sons, Tommy and wife, Katrina; Michael and wife Courtney; Shane and fiance, Jessica; grandchildren, Ashley, Jesse, Peyton, Craig, Aaron, Wyatt, Catie and Brayden. He started his career as a barber and retired after running his own commercial paint business. Funeral services were held Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Scoggins Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Elliott Cemetery in Van Alstyne, Texas.
