LOCAL NEWS NOTES

The funeral of Lawrence WIlliams. the little son of Mr. and Mrs. John Williams, who died yesterday morning, took place this morning.  The remains were interred in the Dripping Springs Cemetery southeast of the city.

Plowing in Corn Field   Farmer Drops Dead
Denison,Texas, May 6 - John F. Williams, 62, dropped dead at 6;45 pm Tuesday while plowing in his corn field with his son. Born
near Sherman, Mr. Williams was the son of Mr. & Mrs. W.M. Williams. He was married Nov 7, 1894 in Paris.

The family lived near Sherman or Denison ever since, being occupied in farmer after Mr. Williams retired from business. He had
been a blacksmith and a grocer.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm Thursday at the First Baptist Church. Dr. J.F. Murrell officiating. Burial will follow a short
service at 3:15 at the Dripping Springs Cemetery.

Surviving besides the wife are a son, Clarence S. Williams, and a daughter, Miss Lillie Williams of Denison; two brothers, James
and William Williams of Hendricks, Oklahoma; two sisters, Mrs. George Stark of Achille, Oklahoma, and Mrs. H.L. Venable of Houston.
