Sterling Price Dundan, 78, died at the family home, 101 W. Bond street at 10:45 p.m. Tuesday following an illness of 4 days.  Funeral services will be held Thursday at 4 p.m. at Short-Murray chapel with Rev. James E. Spivey officiating, assisted by Rev. Leland Alton and Rev. J.F. Murrell.  Interment will be at Dripping Springs with Short-Murray directing.
Mr. Duncan was born August 31, 1862 in the Starr community, his parents being Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Duncan.  He was married February 16, 1890 to Miss Mattie Lewis Irvin.  He was a member of the Baptist church and a charter member of the church of that community.
Surviving are 3 sons, Andrew and Leonard of this city; and Sterling of Duncan, Oklahoma; daughters, Mrs. Nina A. Crawford; Mrs. Bessie Gillam; Mrs. Mattie Lew Wallace; Mrs. Lillian Morgan; and Miss Clara Duncan, all of Denison; besides several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Sterling Price Duncan, who died at his home, 101 W. Bond street, Thursday night, were conducted Thursday afternoon at 4 o'clock with interment at Dripping Springs.  Short-Murray directed.
Pallbearers were Andrew Duncan, Sterling Duncan, Leonard Duncan, A.J. Crawford, W.W. Wallace,, D.R. Morgan, W.M. Lane and J.P. Townsend.
