SADLER - Wynema Lou Boyer Perkins, 75, went to see her Lord Jesus Christ. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her children and grandchildren on June 22, 2014.
Visitation will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday at Waldo Funeral Home Chapel in Sherman, with funeral services following at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Dixie Cemetery in Whitesboro, Texas. Rev. Dr. Cherie Fry will officiate.
She was born April 16, 1939, in Moorewood, OK to Earl Victor and Mary Ellen Page Boyer. Wynema was the baby of 8 siblings. Throughout her adventurous life she was a waitress for over 40 years. She became a beautician, and then decided she needed something more adventurous and started driving an 18 wheeler cross country.
Along with all the exciting adventures she had in life we think the most was raising her three children. We say that because we know what we put her through. Sometimes it was good and sometimes not so good. But kids being kids, we like to think there were a lot more good times, than not.
In 1991 she married the love of her life, Dan. With Dan she was able to travel to new and exciting places. They would call each and every trip, an adventure.
Wynema is preceded in death by her parents, five sisters, three brothers, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins, son in-law and her loving husband in 2010.
She is survived by one son, Tom Romans and wife Alana of Pawnee, Okla.; two daughters, Pam Vanzant, Mary Lou Pillars and husband Clifford all of Sadler, Texas; stepson, Wayne Perkins and wife Danya of Yukon, Okla. and their three children; eight grandchildren, Wynema Vanzant, Sherman Cooper, Brandy Smith , Tami Rowland, Rick Pillars and wife JoAnn, Shelly Pillars, Charolette Bone, and Jason Pillars and their children; three great grandchildren Cierra and Brilynn Cooper and Blake Smith; brother in-law Erwin Nelms.
Special thank to her nurses Marissa and Darcell, and her aid Kellie with Heart to Heart Hospice.
