Thursday, February 24, 1949 pg. 1 Funeral services for William P. Caraway, 84, of McKinney, who died at the McKinney City Hospital at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday were held at the Desert Presbyterian Church Wednesday afternoon. Burial was in the Cross Roads Cemetery, directed by Glen Earnheart. Mr. Caraway was born at Martin, Tennessee July 7, 1864, son of Mr. and Mrs. J.M. Caraway. He resided in the Desert community for a number of years before moving to McKinney, Survivors include: 2 brothers, Oscar Caraway of Van Alstyne and Arthur Caraway of Savoy; and 2 sisters, Mrs. Minnie Alverson of Whitewright and Mrs. Lee Wallace of Leonard.
