Funeral services for Emma Mayo Bryan, 104-year-old Sherman resident, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday Jan. 4 at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel at Leonard. Rev. Jason Anderson will officiate. Family visitation will be from
1 p.m. until service time. Burial will be in the Crossroads Cemetery at Desert.  Mrs. Bryan was born April 20, 1905 at Whitewright. Her parents were Robert Valentine and Ruhemia Belle Whited Mayo. She married John Thomas "Tommy" Bryan in 1946 at Dallas. He preceded her in death on May 29, 1973. She worked in real estate, was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church of Sherman, and a member of Eastern Star.

She passed away Thursday Dec. 31, 2009 at the Mullican Care Center at Savoy.
Her family extends a special thank you to Jeanie Plumlee and staff at Mullican Care Center in Savoy for their loving care
of Emma and to Heart to Heart Hospice of Sherman for their compassion and care.

She is survived by her sisters; Florence Coleman of Sherman, and Sallie Brown of Leonard; daughters-in-law, Wanda Cornell of Mart, and Louise Cornell of Dallas; grandson, James Cornell and wife Shannon of Austin; granddaughter, Linda Letkiewicz of Dallas; and grandsons, Gary and Larry Cornell of Florida. She is also survived by a great granddaughter, Rhonda, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her father, Robert Valentine Mayo; stepfather, Charlie Clark; mother, Ruhemia Belle Clark; sons, Wilburn Cornell and James Cornell; daughter, Louise Cornell and her brothers, Birt Clark, William Clark and Ernest Mayo.
Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
