- Funeral Services for Sallie Jane Clark Brown, 96 year old Leonard
resident, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday April 28 at the
Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow chapel at Leonard. Brother Danny Wood will
officiate. Family visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time
Thursday April 28. Burial will be in the Crossroads Cemetery at Desert.
Mrs. Brown was born February 18, 1915 at Van Alstyne. Her parents were
Charlie Lee and Ruhemia Belle Whited Clark. She married Elmer Brown at
Durant, Okla. She was a homemaker and a member of the West Shady Grove
Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law Betty Brown of Sherman; her great granddaughters Amber Nicole Brown of Sherman, Tanaaya Reimer and husband Jamy of Sherman and Sharee Whitworth and husband, Adam of McKinney; her great great-granddaughters: Shay Reimer and Lexi Whitworth; her sister Florence Coleman of Sherman; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and son Joe Charles Brown; her grandson: Ricky Brown; her brothers: Ernest Mayo, William Clark and Birt Ray Clark; her sister: Emma Mayo Bryan. Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home of Leonard is in charge of arrangements.
