This cemetery has been recorded in books mistakenly as the "Hollingsworth cemetery". The Hollingsworth family did not arrive there till after it was long in use.
Actually it was known as the Cook Springs Cemetery. There was a church and a school was on the property. Originally many graves were marked with wooden markers.
The cemetery is located near the intersection of Highway 91 & Highway 691, about one block west on the north side of the road. Between Sherman and Denison on the Grayson County Airport Road, (Highway 691), the cemetery is located on the grounds of a commercial nursery.
