Collinsville-- Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Methodist Church for Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Walthall, 67, who died at 9:30 a.m. Monday at her home in Collinsville. Services were conducted by the Rev. W. D. Craig of Whitesboro and the Rev Guy Purdue of Collinsville. Music was furnished by an Ethel quarter. Interment was in the Collinsville Cemetery under the direction of Powell.
Pallbearers were W. A. Sowder, C. F. Goodman, F. R. DeCordova, N. L. Stephenson, Lee Graham and Joe Sanders. Mrs. Walthall was born April 1, 1869 at Bonham, the daughter of Harrison and Louise Ford. She was married July 28, 1889 to Robert M. Walthall. Mrs. Walthall, a graduate of Bonham and Denison high schools, had been a member of the Methodist church for 50 years. She was a past guardian in the Woodmen Circle, having been a member for 20 years and had served as president of the Collinsville Cemetery Association.
She is survived by six children; Jim Walthall and Mrs. R. C. Cannaday of Collinsville, Ed Walthall of Grand Island, Neb. Joe Walthall of Denton, Will Walthall of Fort Worth and Fred Walthall of Dodd City; one sister, Mrs. J. C. Schnitter of Sherman and 12 grandchildren
