SADLER - Funeral Services for Joe M. Vannoy, 82, will be held at 2 p.m.. Thursday, Nov. 8, 2007 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel with Ricky Patterson and Olden Cook officiating. Interment will follow in Collinsville Cemetery. There will be no formal visitation.
Mr. Vannoy died Tuesday, Nov. 06, 2007 at his residence in Sadler.
He was born one of eleven children on Nov. 26, 1924 in Collinsville to William U. and Addie C. Vannoy. Joe was a Veteran of WW II, serving in the U.S. Army. He married Juanita Carney on May 31, 1946 in Collinsville. Joe was a dairyman for most of his life. He was a member of the Collinsville Church of Christ and has served the past 20 years as President of the Collinsville Cemetery Association.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Juanita Vannoy of Sadler; a son, Rick Vannoy of Sadler; two granddaughters, three great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant daughter, Jonita Gayle Vannoy; five brothers and five sisters.
Pallbearers will be Dickie Mack Vannoy, Ralph Vannoy, Curtis Fails, Grady Fails, Darrel Carney and Roy Blair. ----www.meadorfuneralhome.com
