Funeral services for Carrel Reed, 72, of Collinsville, Texas will be held Saturday, August 29, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church, Collinsville with Rev. Tar Henderson and Rev. Jerry Davis officiating.  Interment will follow the service at Collinsville Cemetery.  Visitation will be held Friday, August 28, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Meador Funderal Home of Whitesboro, Texas is in charge of arrangements.

She died peacefully at her home Monday, August 24, 2015 with her family by her side.
She was born to Loyd Pernal and Mary Emma (Mullins) Henderson on January 1, 1943 in Sherman, Texas.  She married Leslie Reed on May 5, 1962 in Collinsville, Texas.  She retired from Independent Bank of Collinsville.  She was a member of Eastern Star, Carpenters Chapter, Sherman; and was a member of First Baptist Church, Collinsville.  She loved to play the piano, loved to travel, and loved to laugh.  She loved her family, especially her grandchildren.  She enjoyed traveling to all their activities.
She is survived by her husband, Leslie Reed, Collinsville; two daughters, Sheryl Reed Brown and husband, Lee, of Collinsville and Lara Montgomery and husband, Les, of Van Alstyne; and a son, Philip Reed and wife, Regina, of Arlington, Texas; brother, Gene Henderson and wife, Lana, of Collinsville; and a sister, Nancy Armstrong and husband, Jerry, of Collinsville; granddaughters, Allyson Adams and husband, Dillon; Emma Reed, Gracyn Reed and Megan Montgomery; grandsons, Nate Montgomery, Garth Reed, Josh Brown and Jared Brown.
Pallbearers will be Deacons of First Baptist Church, Collinsville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Loyd and Mary Henderson.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church, 877 E. Woodland St., Collinsville, Texas 76233 and Home Hospice of Grayson County, 505 W. Center St., Sherman, Texas 75090.
