RITES SET FOR BANK PRESIDENT
Collinsville - Charles F. Pelphrey, 83, president of the Collinsville State Bank, died at 9:30 p.m. Monday in a Sherman hospital, after a short illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Richards-Beck Funeral Chapel, Whitesboro.  Rev. Hugh Newsom, pastor of the Collinsville Baptist church, will conduct the services.  Burial will be in Collinsville Cemetery.
The family will be at the funeral chapel from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Mr. Pelphrey was a merchant and landowner.  He was born May 1, 1881 in Collinsville, the son of Mr. and Mrs. A.T. Pelphrey.
Survivors include a sister, Mrs. F.R. de cordova; a nephew, W.F. de Cordova; and a sister-in-law, Mrs. W.P. Pelphrey, all of Collinsville.
 

BANK PRESIDENT DIES FOLLOWING LONG ILLNESS
Funeral services were held Wednesday for Charles F. Pelfrey, president of the Collinsville state Bank, who died Monday morning at approximately 9:30 o'clock in a Sherman hospital.
Services were held in the Richards-Beck Chapel at 2:30 p.m.  The Rev. Hugh Newsom, pastor of the Collinsville Baptist church conducted the services.  Burial was in the Collinsville cemetery.
Mr. Pelphrey, 83, was the son of Mr. and Mrs. A.F. Pelphrey.  He was born May 1, 1881.  He was well-known as a merchant and landowner in the Collinsville area.
Pallbearers were Laverne Stephenson, Jim Swindle, R.J. Moncrief, Manuel Carney, Bob Light, and G.C. Walker.
He is survived by a sister, Mrs. F.R. deCordova; a nephew, W.F. deCordova; and a sister-in-law, Mrs. W.P. Pelphrey, all of Collinsville.
