COLLINSVILLE ~ Funeral services for Nannie Bell Branch, 90, will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 16, 2009 at First Baptist Church in Collinsville with Rev. Jerry Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Collinsville Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro. Visitation will be Sunday, March 15, 2009 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Branch passed away Friday, March 13, 2009 at the Homestead of Sherman.
Nannie was born on July 2, 1918 in Collinsville to Fred and Ethel (Swindle) Cannon. She married Allen "A.J." Branch on Nov. 1, 1947 in Gainesville. Nannie worked various places in Collinsville and Whitesboro. She loved people and gardening. Nannie was a member of the First Baptist Church in Collinsville and was the oldest living member of the Whitesboro Riding Club.
Survivors include a son, Jackie Branch of Collinsville; five grandchildren, Elisha Parsons and husband Dustin of Sadler, Nancy Johnson and husband Billy of Gainesville, Chasity Branch of Gainesville, Jane Todd and husband Doug of Tuttle, OK and Freddie Robeson, Jr. and wife Michelle of Decatur; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Harding Cannon of Collinsville and Bob Cannon of Perrin; two sisters, Joyce Johnson of Collinsville and Helen Jetzelberger of Fort Worth.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Ethel Cannon; her husband, A.J. Branch; a son, Freddie Robeson, Sr.; an infant son and five siblings.
Pallbearers will be Dustin Parsons, Billy Johnson, Doug Todd, Freddie Robeson, Jr., Billy Dan Johnson and Eddie Cannon.
