Mrs. J.J. Pilcher, a resident of Collinsville for 47 years, died Sunday at 6:30 p.m. at her home on Rt. 1, Collinsville, following an illness of over a year.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at Collinsville Methodist Church with Burial in Collinsville Cemetery.  Willie Kreager, minister, officiated.
Mrs. Pilcher, the former Viola Graham, was born July 2, 1888 near Grandview in Ellis County, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Graham.  She and J.J. Pilcher were married in Denton Oct. 18, 1906.  She belonged to Church of Christ.
Survivors are her husband; 4 daughters: Mrs. Edna Walker of County Line, Okla., Mrs. Goldie Copeland of Collinsville, Mrs. Amy Jo Nichols and Mrs. Mattie Mae Aycock of Houston; 3 sons: James Pilcher and Marshall Pilcher of Collinsville and Sgt. J.G. Pilcher who recently returned from overseas duty; 5 sisters, Mrs. Allie Camp, and Mrs. Juanita Mitchell, both of Waxahachie, Mrs. Essie McCoy of Forrester, Mrs. Eva Ray of Lancaster and Mrs. Virgie Skipper of Bishop, and 12 grandchildren."

Emma Jane Pilcher
Funeral services for Emma Jane Pilcher, 3-day-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Pilcher, who died Wednesday in a Denton Hospital, will be held at Collinsville at 2:00 p.m. today in the home of Chas. Goodman.
The Rev. Howard Roberts, pastor of the Methodist Church, will officiate.  Burial will be in Collinsville Cemetery by Beck of Pilot Point.
Survivors include the parents, grandparents, J. J. Pilcher and Mrs. Maude Walkup, both of Collinsville; a great grandmother, Mr. Nannie Pilcher, Collinsville and several uncles and aunts.
