DentonRC.com 23 January 2006 Sadie May Vaughn TIOGA — Sadie May Vaughn, 78, died Saturday, Jan. 21, 2006, at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center in Sherman. She was born July 19, 1927, in Cooke County to the late Stephen Layfatte Fowler and Sadie May Grant Fowler. She married Doyle Huff in 1943 in Grayson County. He preceded her in death in 1969. She later married George Vaughn in 1976 in Decatur. He preceded her in death in 1985. She was a caretaker at the State School and an active member of the VFW. She was a member of the Methodist Church. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 23, in Collinsville Cemetery in Collinsville. The Rev. Robert Childress will officiate. She is survived by two daughters, Peggy Sue Hickman of Tioga, and Sharon Kay Dillon of Sherman; a brother, Steven L. Fowler of San Antonio; and a stepson, Joe Clint Vaughn of Gordonville. She was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters. Honorary pallbearers are Jeff Dillon, Aaron Dillon, Clint Dillon, Joe Vaughn, James Hickman and J.C. Dillon.
