Collinsville, Texas, April 17. - Funeral services for Mrs. Nora Davis, who died Wednesday in a Dallas hospital, were conducted Friday at the
Collinsville Methodist church. Burial was in Collinsville Cemetery.  
Mrs. Davis, a pioneer resident of Collinsville, is survived by four daughters, Mrs. C. C. Bell of Plainview, Mrs. T. M. Summers of Dallas, Mrs.
Randolph Caldwell of Garland and Mrs. A. J. Nicholson of billings, Mont.; three sons, G. H. Davis of Pettus, Bishop Davis of Gunter and Joe Davis of Lufkin; two sisters, three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Bevis Davis Rites Held Here Jan. 3

Bevis Davis, 75, retired farmer, died at his home Saturday at 5:20 p.m. Funeral services were conducted Monday at 2:30 p.m. at the Collinsville Methodist Church, with the pastor Rev. R.L. Cates, officiating. Interment was in the Collinsville cemetery under the direction of Beck Funeral Home of Pilot Point.
Pall bearers were Cal Autrey, L.J. Bell, R.D. Bell, O.L. Nolen, E.W. Martin and M.O. Gordon.
A son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Perry Davis, he was born in North Carolina Nov. 23, 1873. He was married to Nora Barron Sept. 1, 1894. He had lived in or near Collinsville for 70 years.
A devout member of the Methodist Church, he served as a Sunday School teacher for a number of years until ill health prevented his active work in the church. He also served on the official church board of stewards.
Mr. Davis, a semi-invalid for several years, often concealed his pain by his cheerful smiles and encouraging philosophy to others.
Survivors include: his wife; three sons, Grady Davis of Tuleta, Bishop Davis of Gunter and Joe Davis of Lufkin; four daughters, Mrs. Cecil Ball of Plainview, Mrs. T.M. Summars of Dallas, Mrs. Randolph Davis of Garland and Mrs. J.N. Nicholson of Billings, Mont.; two brothers, Linus Davis of Collinsville and Quitman Davis of Kalamazoo, Mich. and several grandchildren.
Out of town relatives attending last rites included Mrs. Dorothy Lee Jacoby, San Marcos; Misses Mavoline and Freta Merle Davis, Dallas; Perry Davis, Houston; Mr. and Mrs. G.H. Davis, Tuleta; Mr. and Mrs. C.C. Bell and son, Plainview; Mrs. T.M. Summar, Dallas; Mrs. Rudolph Caldwell, Garland; Mr. and Mrs. Bishop Davis, Lufkin; R.H. Barron, Lafores; Mr. and Mrs. Duke Smith, Pawhuska, Okla; Mr. and Mrs. Offie Smith, Van Alstyne; Mr. and Mrs. Quitman Davis, Kalamazoo, Michigan.
