COLLINSVILLE – Funeral services for Mary Francis Vannoy, 85, will be held on Thursday, April 23, at 10 a.m., at the Collinsville Church of Christ in Collinsville with Ricky Patterson and Scott Sides officiating. Interment will follow the services at Collinsville Cemetery. All service arrangements are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro. Visitation services will be held Wednesday evening, April 22, from 6 - 8 p.m.
She died on April 20, 2015 in Collinsville, Texas.
Mary was born on October 22, 1929 in Grayson County to Raymond Dewey Bell, Sr. and Hermie Venus (Tarpley) Bell. She married Johnny Vannoy on February 18, 1948 in Tioga. They were married for 63 years until his passing in 2011. She was a member of the Collinsville Church of Christ. She retired from Texas Instruments after 22 years of service. She was a wonderful seamstress, sewing for her family as well as members of the Collinsville Community. Mary sold Avon for 45 years. She also enjoyed trips to the valley with various close friends.
She is survived by her son, Troy Vannoy and wife, Tracy, of Collinsville, Texas; grandchildren: Bruce D. Vannoy, Barry R. Vannoy, Steven Brent Vannoy, Aaron C. Vannoy, Jordan M. Vanoy, Lindsay L. Vannoy; five great-grandchildren; and sisters: Billie Durden of Houston; and Alma Company of Florida.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Hermie Bell; and her son, John Steven Vannoy.
The pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
