COLLINSVILLE — Services for Lola Elizabeth Tyler, 97, of Collinsville are set for 10 a.m. Friday at the Huff Funeral Chapel in Whitesboro with Elder Dan Lindsey and elder Charles Reid officiating. Interment will follow in the Collinsville Cemetery under the direction of the Huff Funeral Home in Whitesboro.
Visitation will be at the Huff Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. today.
Mrs. Tyler died Tuesday, May 23, 2006, at Whitesboro Nursing Home in Whitesboro.
She was born July 9, 1908, in Eustace to James "Bennie" Cook and Hattie James Cook. On April 3, 1929, she married Charles "Tim" Tyler in Eustace. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and spending time with her family. She was a member of Gainesville's congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Survivors include her sons and daughter-in-law, Jack and Rebecca Tyler of Keller and Donald Tyler of Woodbine; daughters and son-in-law, Kathleen Provence of Springtown, Dorothy and Joe Fritts of Collinsville, Melba Melton of Collinsville and Glenda Tyler of Collinsville; brother, Coy Cook of Portland, Ore.; sisters and brother-in-law, Cecil Cook of Athens, Marie Autry of Roswell, N.M. and Madeline and George McGonnigle of Carlsbad, N.M.; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles "Tim" Tyler on April 3, 1989; daughter, Charlene Ridlehoover; and three grandsons.
Pallbearers are grandsons.
