Gary Shuffield

WHITESBORO - Services for Gary E. Shuffield, 53, of Whitesboro, are set for 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Huff Funeral Home Chapel of Whitesboro with Bro. Robert Childress officiating. Burial will follow in the Collinsville Cemetery under the direction of the Huff Funeral Home of Whitesboro.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today.
Mr. Shuffield died Sunday, June 11, 2006, at Community Specialty Hospital in Sherman.
He was born March 15, 1953, in Fort Worth to Billie Marie Russell Shuffield Duncan and Don Eldon Shuffield. He was a painter, having retired from Texas Woman's University in Denton. He enjoyed singing and was a musician who enjoyed playing several instruments. He lived most of his life in Sanger, having moved to Whitesboro 5 years ago.
Survivors include his mother and step-father, Marie and Grover Duncan of Whitesboro; sister, Charlotte Frazier of Euless; brothers, Donny Shuffield of Sanger and Billy Shuffield of Gordonville; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Don Eldon Shuffield on April 8, 1988.
Pallbearers are James Mac Parsons, Carol Dillon, Jason Shuffield, Rodney Frazier, Mike Stanford and Victor Kirby.
He was a member of New Beginning Church in Whitesboro. -----Gainesville Daily Register, June 13, 2006
