Mrs. P.J. Rodgers Dies
Burial Service is Held in Collinsville, Grayson County

Mrs. P.J. (Permelia Jane) Rodgers, aged 81 years, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George Hollingshead, near Collinsville, Grayson County, Tuesday (Jan. 27, 1915). 
She was born at Dixon Springs, Tenn., June 2, 1833.  She came to Texas in 1870 and settled in Dallas, securing as a homestead the lot which is now occupied by the freight depot of the Missouri, Kansas & Texas Railroad. 
Her husband, R.H. Rodgers, died in Dallas in 1884. 
She was a sister of J.A. McMurry and the mother of Mrs. T.B. Averitt of Dallas.  She was a regular reader of the Dallas News for twenty-five years. 
She was buried at Collinsville Wednesday.
