Lynton Eugene Bodovsky "Lyn" was born July 4, 1956 and passed away on March 18, 2021 in Whitesboro, Texas at the age of 64.

He was predeceased by his father and stepmother, Raymond Bodovsky, Jr. and Wanda Bodovsky; and his mother and stepfather, Nancy Ladean Hite and Justin Hite, Jr.
He is survived by his son, Justin Bodovsky and wife, Eve; two grandchildren, Savannah and Gunner; sisters, Janna Schick; Janie Gotcher and husband, Gary; Ginger Gatewood and husband, Lonnie; Cheryl Stover; stepsister, Debbie Sharp and husband, Robert; and many nieces and nephews and other family members and friends.
Lyn work hard all his life, starting at a young age with a paper route and then working in a donut shop when he was a teenager.  After graduating from Plano High School in 1974, he attended Tarleton State University before working at Kroger's for several years.  He was also employed by several years by telecommunications business, traveling all over the United States with his job.  He moved to Collinsville-Whitesboro area over 10 years ago and became a member and trustee of the Whitesboro Presbyterian Church.  He spent many Saturday mornings there helping with the B.A.C.K. (Breakfast at the Community Kitchen) program. While living in Collinsville he began a career as a home repair specialist, proving to be a true handyman who could fix almost anything.  He was much in demand and always ready to help anyone who needed his services whether they could pay him or not.
Lyn's too-short life can be measured not by money or riches but by the love his family and friends had for him and by his forgiving and compassionate nature. He truly had a heart of gold.  While we will miss him every day, we know that he is now at peace in his eternal home in Heaven.
A memorial service for Lyn was held Saturday afternoon, March 27, 2021 at the pavilion at Collinsville Cemetery. - -  - Scoggins Funeral Home
