Funeral services for A.P. Baughman were held Saturday afternoon at the First Baptist Church in Tioga. Mr. Baughman died Thursday morning.
He was the son of Amos Walter Baughman and Sarah Adele Bouie in Boone County, Arkansas. Rev. Bobby Layman, pastor of a Baptist Church in Greenville; Rev Jerry Scott, pastor of the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church; and Elder H.G. Ball of the Primitive Baptist Church in Tioga, officiated. Burial was in the Collinsville Cemetery, under the direction of Beck Funeral Home. Grandsons of Mr. Baughman were pallbearers.
He was married to Miss Martha Elizabeth Roberts in Arkansas. She died in 1927. He was married to Mrs. Edna Jenkins Ridinger in Durant, Oklahoma, December 5, 1931.
Mr. Baughman had lived in the Collinsville and Tioga area since 1919. He was a deacon and charter member of the Mt Carmel Baptist Church in Tioga and was a retired farmer.
Surviviors are his wife Edna and three brothers, Amos Timpleton and Perry Baughman of Victoria and John R. Baughman of Fort Worth; three sisters, Mrs. Stella Bush of Collinsville, Mrs. Opal Lawrence of Fort Worth and Miss Jewel Baughman of Valparaiso, Florida; four sons Arthur, Estus, Dennis and Roy Lee. Five daughters; Luvena McKnight, Eula Mae Mitchell, Edna Hilliard, Ethel Burchett, and Elsie Primm, two step sons; Eugene, Vernon Ridinger and step daughter Helen Duff.
One son, Festus Baughman died in 1953. Another son, A.P. Baughman Jr., was lost with an airplane flight somewhere over the Yukon in 1951; step son Vernon Ridinger.


Mr. Albie Parker Baughman, 75, died at 9:00 am Thursday, April 6, enroute to a Sherman Hospital. His home was in Tioga.
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the First Baptist Church in Tioga, conducted by Rev. Bobby Laymen, pastor of the Greenville Baptist Church, Rev. Jerry Scott, pastor Mt. Carmel Baptist Church and Elder H.G. Ball, pastor of Tioga Primitive Baptist Church.
Pallbearers werre grandsons Dan McKnight Jr., Benny McKnight, Sam Scoggins, Ronald Scoggins, Earl Baughman and Phillip Baughman. Interment was in Collinsville Cemetery under the direction of Beck Funeral Home.
Mr. Baughman was born in Harrison, Arkansas July 11, 1891, son of Mr. and Mrs. A.W. Baughman. He married Miss Mattie Roberts in Arkansas. She preceded him in death in 1927.  In December 1931 he married Mrs. Edna Ridinger in Durant, Oklahoma. He moved to Collinsville in 1919 and had made his home in Grayson County since that time. Mr. Baughman was a member of the Baptist Church, and had held many church offices and was a long time Baptist Deacon. He was a retired farmer.
Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Edna Baughman, Tioga; four sons, Arthur Baughman Fort Worth, Estus Baughman, Lancaster, Dennis Baughman, Irving, Roy Baughman, U.S. Army Ft. Hood; five daughters, Mrs. Dan (Luvena) McKnight, Mrs. Eula Mae Mitchell and Mrs. Charles (Ethel) Burchett all of Tioga, Mrs. Jack (Edna) Hilliard, Glendore, Calif. and Mrs. Don (Elsie) Primm, Houston; two stepsons, Virtie Ridinger and Gene Ridinger, both of Lewisville, one stepdaughter, Mrs. James (Helen) Duff, Lewisville; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; three brothers, A.T. Baughman and Perry Baughman both of Victoria; and John R. Baughman of Ft. Worth; three sisters, Mrs. W.F. (Stella) Bush, Collinsville, Mrs. Lee (Opal) Lawrence, Ft. Worth, and Miss Jewell Baughman, Valparaiso, Florida.


Funeral services for Edna Victoria Baughman were held Saturday afternoon at the First Baptist Church in Tioga.
Rev. Walt Friese officiated at the service. He was assisted by Rev. Dwight Guy of First Baptist Church of Tioga and Rev. F.E. Baughman and Rev. Don Primm.
Burial was at Collinsville Cemetery under the direction of Huff Funeral Home, Pilot Point.
Mrs. Baughman died April 17 at Medical Plaza Hospital in Sherman. She was 82 at the time of her death.
Born April 20, 1897 in Bowie County, Texas, Mrs. Baughman was the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Isreal Jenkins. She had been a resident of Tioga for the past 47 years. Mrs. Baughman was a member of the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church and was a housewife.
Mrs. Baughman married James Ridinger in December 1913, in Grayson County. He died October 1929. She then married Albie Parker Baughman on December 5, 1931 at Durant, Okla. He preceded her in death on April 6, 1967.
Mrs. Baughman is survived by five sons, Vertie Ridinger and Gene Ridinger both of Lewisville, Texas; Dennis Baughman of Irving and Roy Lee Baughman of Lompoc, Calif.; and Estus Baughman of Lancaster; six daughters, Helen Duff of Lewisville; Edna Hilliard, Ethel Burchett, Luvena McKnight and Eula Mae Mitchell, all of Tioga, and Elsie Primm of Farmers Branch; one brother, Marvin Jenkins of Sherman; one sister Vera Davis of Gunter; 52 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers at the funeral were L.H. "Dude" Carrigan, Eddie Gressett, Raymond Gressett, Herman Gressett, Willie Lee Howell and Ray Mullins. Honorary pallbearers were Dan McKnight, Jr. Jerry Ridinger, Thomas Baughman, Earl Baughman, Randy Ridinger, Samuel Scoggins, David Duff, Eugene Ridinger, Garry Burchett, Terry Hilliard and Darrell Primm.
