SERVICES YESTERDAY FOR AMOS L. CARNEY, 62
Amos Loy Carney, 62, a Whitesboro area farmer and stockman, died Monday night at 10:14 in a Sherman hospital after a lengthy illness.  Funeral services for the Whitesboro man, who made his home at 619 N. Jordan street, were held yesterday (Wednesday) in Richards Chapel.
Rev. Harold Watson, pastor of the Whitesboro First Baptist church, assisted by Rev. Hugh Newsom, pastor of the Collinsville Baptist church, officiated.
Burial was in Collinsville cemetery.
Mr. Carney was born September 28, 1906, in Carrol County, Ark.  He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. G.W. Carney and married Belma McKnight on September 28, 1930 in Durant, Okla.
A member of the Baptist church, survivors include his widow; a son, Lindill Carney of Lewisville; two daughters, Mrs. Wretha Kosark and Mrs. Izella Eggleston of Whitesboro; two brothers, Manuel Carney of Collinsville and Austin Carney of Colorado City, Tex.; a sister, Mrs. M.J. Allen of Dallas; and 12 grandchildren.
