Funeral services for Wanda Corene McGehee, 87, of Whitesboro, will be held Monday, June 22, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Meador Funeral Chapel with Ricky Patterson officiating.  Interment will follow at Collinsville Cemetery.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
She died Friday, June 19, 2015 at Wilson N. Jones Hospita, Sherman, Texas with her family by her side.  She was born June 24, 1927 to Charles Jacob Carney and Rebecca (Gillum) Carney in Sherman, Texas. She married Lawrence W. McGehee January 18, 1946 in Grayson County.  She was a member of Eastern Star and was a lifelone member of Richardson Heights Baptist Church.  Quilting was her passion, as well as making candy.  She was an excellent gardener and enjoyed fishing.  She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her daughter, Connie Bryan and husband, Gene of Whitesboro; son, Lawrence Dale McGehee and wife, Sharon, of Bonham; 3 step-daughters, Jo Emberton, Susan Fletcher and Neva Evans; grandchildren, Robert Raub, Randyn Raub, Josh McGehee and Cori Dai; great-grandkids Kayla Raub, Seth Gravette, Sarah Gravett, Miles Dai, Van Dai, and Ashlyn Smallwood; step-grandchildren, Cary Bryan and Wynell Ramsey, and sister, Juanita Vannoy of Sadler, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Vannoy, Bill Culpepper, Myron Klingensmith, Charles Earnhart, Dicky Rose, and Cary Bryan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence W. McGehee and her parents, Charles and Rebecca Carney; sisters, Faye Ragsdale and Florence Culpepper and brother, C.J. Carney......Meador Funeral Home.
