Denison - Funeral for Lena C. Hill, 88, Mesquite resident who died there Thursday, were held Saturday afternoon at Bratcher Chapel, with Rev. Lawrence Smith officiating.  Burial was in Coffman-Layne Cemetery.
Mrs. Hill was born June 26, 1897 in Bosque County, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Milton P. Taul.  She was retired from the Denison Cotton Mill where she worked 30 years.  Mrs. Hill was a member of Sunnyside Baptist Church of Denison.  She had been a Mesquite resident for 9 years.
Surviving are a son, Alvie E. Jr. of Arlington; daughter, Dorothy Marlow of Mesquite; brother, Milton Taul, Jr. of Denison; 6 grandhilcren; 4 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers were Leon Taul, Olan Taul, Michael Taul, Raymond Jeter, Jack Knox and George Tallant.



MRS. MOLLIE TAUL DIES AFTER LONG ILLNES
Mrs. Mollie Taul, 92, of 531 West Starr, died today at 12:10 a.m. in a local hospital after a long illness.  She had been hospitalized for the last 12 days.
Funeral will be held Thursday at 2:30 p.m. in Bratcher chapel with Rev. V.D. Price, Sunnyside Baptist pastor, and Rev. Lawrence Smith, Harliss Chapel Methodist pastor, officiating.  Burial will be in Layne Cemetery.  The family will be at the funeral home tonight from 7:30 to 9 o'clock.
Mrs. Taul was born Mollie Cook in Tennessee Sept. 27, 1866, and married Milton P. Taul at Morgan in June 1888.  She moved here from Morgan
47 years ago.  She was a Baptist.

Survivors include two sons, Chilton and Milton Taul, both of Denison; two daughters, Mrs. George Tallant and Mrs. Lena Hill, both of Denison; four brothers, Jess, Joe, Jim and Luther Cook, all of Pottsboro; 13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
