FARMER, 60, DIES AT HOME NEAR DENISON
Charlie F. Holder, 60, a farmer residing in the River Side community, north of Randell Lake for over 39 years, died at his home Wednesday at 9:05 p.m. following an illness of 2 months.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. today frfom the home with Rev. Bruce Hibbitt officiating.  Interment will be at Coffman-Layne Cemetery, Short-Murray directing.
Holder was born at Pottsoboro September 15, 1878 and was reared and educated at that point.  He later moved to Hudson quarters on Red River, about 10 miles northwest of Denison.
He married Miss Maggie Anderson at Pottsboro in 1897.
Mr. Holder was a trustee of the Riverside school and a member of the Baptist church.
Surviving are his widow; 7 sons, Andrew, Clinton and Walter of Colbert and J.L., Lawrence, Albert and Calvin of Denison; 2 daughters, Mrs. Charles Monroe and Mrs. Judson cloer of Denison; 4 brothers, R.I. of Denison H. Holder of Centralia, Washington; Jerry of Apache, Oklahoma; and L. Holder of Denison; 4 sisters, Miss Lillie Evans of Shelburn, Washington; Mrs. Beula Nichols of Dalhart; Mrs. Gladys Kibber of Los Angeles and Mrs. Earnest Gilloud of Dalhart.

Funeral services for Mrs. C.F. Holder, 76, were held at Bratcher-Moore chapel Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Rev. Carroll Copeland, pastor of Trinity Methodist church, officiating.  Interment was in Layne Cemetery with Bratcher-Moore in charge.
Mrs. Holder died Sunday night while visiting relatives in Colbert.  She was born in Dallas County, May 23, 1879 but had lived in Denison for sixty years.  The Holder home and farm lands were in the Riverside area which was inundated by Lake Texoma.  Since the death of Mr. Holder in January 1940, she had made her home with a daughter, Mrs. Hazel Monroe, 101 E. Acheson.  She was a Methodist.
Survivors are seven sons, A.C. Holder, Wichita, Kansas; C.L. Holder, Cartwright; W.T. Holder and A.A. Holder, Colbert; E.L. Holder, Kingfisher, Oklahoma, and J.L. Holder and C.D. Holder, Denison; two daughters, Mrs. J.C. Cloer, Savoy, and Mrs. Charles Monroe, Denison; two brothers, Ira Anderson, San Antonio and Earl Anderson, Waco; two sisters, Mrs. Betty Stewart, San Angelo and Mrs. Minnie Woodman, Oklahoma; 35 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
