Carl Hazelwood - Carl Hazelwood of Brownwood died Friday at Brownwood Regional Hospital after a one-month illness. 
He was a former Sherman and Sadler-Southmayde area resident.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Austin Avenue Church of Christ in Brownwood with Bill Richardson and Buck Hale officiating.
Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Monday in Christian Chapel Cemetery east of Sadler. Morelock Funeral Home of Brownwood is in charge of arrangements.  Local arrangements will be by Dannel and Horton Funeral Home.
Mr. Hazelwood was born northeast of Sadler, a son of Willie C. and Zora Inez Souther Hazelwood.  He attended Southmayd and Sherman schools and married Mildred Louise Jones May 25, 1940, in Sherman.
A retired butcher, he was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran of World War II and was stationed at Hickam Field in Hawaii during the bombing of Pearl Harbor.  He was an elder of the Austin Avenue Church of Christ in Brownwood.
Surviving are his wife; son, Chris Hazelwood of Brownwood; and brother, Ernest R. Hazelwood of Albuquerque, N.M.

Brownwood - Funeral for Harold Hazelwood, formerly of Sadler, who died Saturday in a Brownwood hospital, will be Sunday, 2:30 p.m. at the Austin Avenue Church of Christ in Brownwood under the direction of the Morelock Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be held Monday, 4 p.m., at the Needle Ridge cemetery near Sadler under the direction of Dannel & Horton Funeral Home.
Hazelwood was born in Sadler, the son of Willie and Zora Inez Hazelwood.  He attended Grayson County schools and married Mildred Louise Jones May 25, 1940, in Sherman.  He was a veteran of World War II and an elder at the Austin Avenue Church of Christ.
Survivors include a son, Chris Brownwood; a brother, Earnest Ray, Albuquerque

Brownwood - Funeral for Mildred Hazelwood, 65, former area resident who died Monday in a Brownwood hospital, will be 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the Austin Avenue Church of Christ in Brownwood under the direction of Morelock Funeral Home.  Graveside service will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Christian Chapel Cemetery, east of Sadler, under the direction of Dannel Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hazelwood was born May 30, 1919, in Grayson County, daughter of Sam and May Holley Jones.  She attended Grayson County schools and married Carl Hazelwood May 25, 1940, in Sherman. She had been a resident of Brownwood for the past 10 years.  Mrs. Hazelwood was a member of the Austin Avenue Church of Christ in Brownwood, where her husband had been an elder before his death in 1982.
Surviving are a son, Chris of Brownwood; brother, Sam Jones of Sadler; two sisters, Mrs. Ettie Thompson of Sherman, and Mrs. Leon Eldridge of Denison.
