Funeral services for Mrs. S. W. Harshbarger, 82, who died at 9:05 p.m. Saturday at her home in Sadler following an illness
of five months, were held at 3 p.m. Sunday the high school gymnasium there with Homer P. Reeves, pastor of the Walnut Street Church of Christ here, officiating.  Burial was in Christian Chapel Cemetery directed by John C. Dannel Funeral Home. Pallbearers were grandsons of the deceased.

Born Sept. 16, 1863 as Opal A. [crossed out; ORA ALICE handwritten] Elmore, Mrs. Harshbarger was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Elmore of Thorntown, Ind.  She and Mr. Harshbarger, who survives, were married Dec. 22, 1885 at Basin Springs.  The couple came to Sadler 33 years ago.  She was a member of the Church of Christ at Sadler.
Other survivors include four sons, Austin Harshbarger and Grant Harshbarger of Pottsboro, Wesley and Ted Harshbarger
of Sadler; three daughters, Mrs. Luther Spaulding of Sadler, Mrs. Bailey Dickey of Pottsboro and Mrs. B. Goodpasture of Vernon; two sisters, Mrs. Conrad Baker of Denison and Mrs. John Green of California.

Sadler - S.W. Harshbarger, 82, a prominent resident of Sadler and Grayson county, died in a Sherman hospital shortly after noon Saturday.
Funeral services will be held in the school gymnasium at Sadler at 3 p.m. Sunday with Homer P.Reeves, minister of the Church of Christ at Sherman, officiating.
Mr. Harshbarger was born Feb. 20, 1864, at Decatur, Ill., and came to Texas in 1875.  He was married to Miss Ora Alice Elmore in 1885.  Mrs. Harshbarger died in April.
Survivors include: Four sons, Austin and Grant Harshbarger, both of Pottsboro, Ted and Wesley Harshbarger, both of Sadler, and two daughters, Mrs. L.C. Spaulding, Sadler, and Mrs. Burie Goodpasture, Vernon, and a number of grandchildren.
