DENISON - Bettie Ray Christensen, 63, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 7, 2010 at Wilson N. Jones Hospital in Sherman.
Family night will be held from 6 -8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2010, at Bratcher Funeral Home, 401 W. Woodard St., Denison.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2010 at Bratcher Funeral Home. Rev. Earl Sterling will officiate. A private burial will be held at Cherry Mound Cemetery in Cherry Mound.
Bettie Ray was born on Sept. 19, 1946, the daughter of Charles and Margarette (Hodge) Butcher. She was born in Denison and at an early age, moved to Amarillo where she grew up and attended schools. She later returned to Denison to raise her family and worked for the Bells ISD until recently. 
Bettie Ray is deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her husband, Chris of Mexia; daughters, Cheryl (husband Donald) Denton of Whitesboro and Karen (husband Matt) Crabtree of Azle; son, Chase Ray of Denison; mother, Margarette Butcher of Denison; grandsons, Blake Crabtree, Derek Denton, David Crabtree and Dakota Denton; granddaughters, Donja Denton and Savannah Crabtree; siblings, Barbara Rowe, Charles Butcher Jr. and Vicki Kuykendall, all of Denison. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Butcher Sr.
Arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of Bratcher Funeral Home.
