Bratcher-Moore funeral home was in charge of arrangements for the funeral in Cherry Mound Baptist Church Sunday afternoon for Oscar James, 55, retired farmer, who died suddenly of a heart attack Thursday afternoon.  Rev. Allen Baugh and Rev. Glenn Hayden were the officiating ministers and interment was in Cherry Mound Cemetery.
James was born in Bells, July 17, 1898, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Josh James.  He attended schools at Dugans Chapel and was a member of the Baptist church.  He made his homein Denison with a nephew, J.T. James, 709 E. Gandy.
Aside from the nephew he is survived by one brother, J.W. James, Denison; and five sisters, Mrs. Floyd Stogsdill, Mrs. Bertha James, Mrs. Beckie Dunlap, all of Bells; and Mrs. Nancy Stanberry and Mrs. Tommy Stanford, Denison.
