SHERMAN - Funeral for Cleota Lucy Young, 75, Sherman nursing home
resident who died Wednesday at a Sherman hospital, was at 2 p.m. today at Waldo
Chapel with burial in Cedarlawn Memorial Park.
Ms. Young was born July 18,
1910 in Sherman, daughter of Jacob Curtis Williams and Clara Small Williams. She
married John T. Young March 24, 1972 in McAlester. Mrs. Young was a former
employee of Action Line, Diaper Jeans and A-1 Bowling Lanes, retiring in 1968.
She was a member of VFW Auxiliary #2773 in Denison and Grayson Bible Baptist
Church.
Surviving are a son, Eddie Shadden of Houston; daughter, Wanda Youree
of Denison; stepson, Joe Lofland of McKinney; three sisters, Virgie Orr, Leola
Atkinson, both of Sherman, Hazel "Tootsie" Pruitt of Manteca, Calif.; seven
grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. |
