Services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 30, from the Waldo Funeral Chapel for Mrs. Mary Alice Shaw, 86, widow of the late Ben
F. Shaw, of 2423 S. Crockett St., who died at 10 a.m. Thursday, January 21, at a Sherman hospital.
Services were conducted by Rev. Fred Hall, pastor of the Central Christian Church, with burial at Cedarlawn Memorial
Park, under direction of a Sherman funeral home.

Mrs. Shaw was born June 8, 1884, at Bowling Green, Ky., the daughter of the late Pete Dudley and Elizabeth Ireland.  She came to Texas and to Grayson County in 1886 with her parents.  She attended the old Baylor Belton College at Belton and was married to Ben F. Shaw in 1906 at Whitemound.  Mr. Shaw preceded her in death in 1955.  She had lived in Sherman since 1950 and was a member of the Central Christian Church.
Mrs. Shaw and her family lived for many years in the Jameson community and at Van Alstyne.  She had maintained an interest in her church and in community affairs.  She was a niece of John Ireland, an early day Governor of Texas.
Survivors are two sons, Ben Ervin Shaw of Dallas and Clyde T. Shaw of Sherman; three daughters, Mrs. Curtis C. Coker
of Sherman,

Mrs. Carl McMahan of Breckenridge, and Mrs. Frank Carelli of Hoosick Falls, N.Y.; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Bill Ireland, Frank Ireland, John Ireland, James Hall Jones, Arlie Hicks and Bill Ballard.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in Waldo Funeral Chapel for Clyde T. Shaw, 66, Grayson County native of 2423 S. Crockett, who died Thursday at a Sherman hospital.
Services will be conducted by Rev. Fred Hall of the Central Christian Church, with burial at Cedarlawn Memorial Park.
Mr. Shaw was born in the Jameson community, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ben F. Shaw.  He attended Austin College, the University of Texas and received his B.A. degree from North Texas State University.  He taught school for many years in the Dallas, Greenville and Frisco schools, was a veteran of service with the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II and had been a Civil Service employee at Perrin Air Force Base.  He was a member of the American Legion and the Christian Church.
Survivors are broth, Ben Ervin Shaw of Sherman; and sisters, Mrs. Frank Carem of Hoosick Falls, N.Y., Mrs. Carl McMahan and Mrs. Dollie Mae Coker, both of Sherman.
Pallbearers will be James Hall Jones, William Byers, Preston Byers, Joe Robert Vivion, John Ireland and Frank Ireland.
The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
