Funeral services for Ken Griffith will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, November 7 in the Red River Cowboy Church with Rev. Novice Northington of the church officiating and Al Piland leading music. Burial will follow at Cedarlawn Memorial Park
with Jeff Goen, Rusty Griffith, Ken Griffith, Buddy Griffith, Caleb Northington, Micah Northington, Chris Northington, and Carter McMillian serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Duncan, Don Erich, Doug McMillian, and Javier Santiestian. Mr. Griffith passed away Tuesday, November 4 at the age of 82 after a lengthy illness.
 

Ken was born on June 9, 1926 in Aubrey, Texas to the late E.B. and Minnie (Pitman) Griffith. He married Billye Horton from Denton, Texas on December 3, 1944. Ken served in the US Navy during World War II for two and half years. He worked as the manager of the Safeway Food Chain for 35 years and later as a salesman for K&B Sales for 20 years. Ken was a proud father and grandfather and he loved his family dearly. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed his many golfing friends. He was a member of the Red River Cowboy Church. He loved his church and his church family. 

Mr. Griffith is survived by his wife Billye of Sherman; one daughter, Judy Goen of League City, Texas; two grandchildren, Jeff Goen and his wife Kristen of Austin, Texas and Jena Barnes of Friendswood, Texas; four great grandchildren, Kaylee and Troy Barnes, and Cooper and Cate Goen; and one sister, Modine Ramsey and her husband Jerry of Tyler, Texas. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the Red River Cowboy Church at PO Box 2944, Sherman, TX 75091 or the charity of the donor's choice. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday at Waldo Funeral Home.
