DENISON - Mary "Frances" Sewell, 75-year-old Denison nurse, passed away Thursday, Nov. 19, 2009 at the Homestead of Denison.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21 at Johnson-Moore Chapel with Mark Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Cedarlawn Memorial Park.
Mrs. Sewell was born on Aug. 9, 1934 in Pecan Gap, the daughter of App and Arvella Tiller Langston and was educated in Pecan Gap. She married Harlan Sewell on Dec. 22, 1951 in Clarkville, and he preceded her in death on Nov. 14, 1996.
Frances was a nurse for Dr. W.H. Frietsch at the Medical & Surgical Clinic in Denison for many years. She was of the Baptist faith and an avid bingo player.
Pallbearers will be Rick Brashier, Ronny Moore, Mike Kuntschik, Nick Wallace, Tom Redwine, David Shock, Gary Williams and Brian Grams.
Surviving are her sons, Gary Sewell and his wife Becky and Jerry Sewell and his wife, Jeanine, all of Denison; brother, Arthur Franklin Langston and his wife, Marvalene of Clarksville; and eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Terry Sewell.
The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society, 8900 Carpenter Freeway, Dallas, TX 75247.
Visitation will be from 7 -8 p.m. Friday at Johnson-Moore Funeral Home.
