DENISON
- Services for Carl V. Ivie, 81-year-old retired Texas Tie and Timber
Co. employee who died Thursday at Texoma Medical Center, will be held
at 2 p.m. Saturday at Johnson-Moore Funeral Home. The Rev. Jim
Connatser of the Trinity United Methodist Church will officiate.
Burial will be in Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman.
Mr. Ivie was born in Leonard, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman V. Ivie, and married Alice Hendrix on March 18, 1943 in Durant, Okla.
He
had lived in Denison since 1935 and retired in 1965 from Texas Tie and
Timber Co. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and
American Association of Retired Persons.
Surviving are his wife
of Denison; brother, Ben Ivie of Sherman; and sisters, Mrs. Estelle
Johnson of Sherman, Mrs. Lorene Cockrill of Hughes Springs and Mrs.
Pearl Gates of Dallas.
Pallbearers will be Dr. Clark Johnson, Leland Cockrill, David Ivie, Dr. Stephen Gates, Robert Waldrop, Jim Cook and Jim Compton.
The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday. |
