Theodore Zenthoefer Dies in Hammond, Indiana

DENISON - Funeral services were held 10 a.m. Saturday at the Bratcher Funeral Chapel for Theodore Zenthoefer, 74, of 826 Crawford, who died Thursday at Hammond, Indiana.  Rev. Walter Underwood conducted the services. Burial was in Cedarlawn Memorial Cemetery.
Mr. Zenthoefer was born October 11, 1890 in Baltimore, Maryland, the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Zenthoefer. He was married December 31, 1911 in Denison to Miss Hazel Paul. He was a member of the Maples Memorial Methodist Church, the Masonic Lodge and the Odd Fellows. He was manager of the Best Poultry and Egg Co. of Denison for 18 years until his retirement in 1962.
He is survived by three daughters, Miss Mae Zenthoefer of Denison; Miss Muerlynn Zenthoefer of Denison; and Mrs.
Edward Warmbler of Hammond, Indiana; and one brother, Jacob Davis of Arlington.


Maye M. Zenthoefer

Denison - Maye Margueritte Zenthoefer of Denison died February 27, 2000 at The Homestead of Denison.
Services were held Wednesday afternoon, March 1, 2000 at Waples Memorial United Methodist Church in Denison.  Officiating were Rev. Ken Hildebrand, Rev. Joe Gist and Rev. Jack Wallace.  Burial was in Cedarlawn Memorial Park.
Miss Zenthoefer was born May 26, 1918 in Denison, daughter of Theodore and Hazel E. Paul Zenthoefer.  She attended Denison and Bonham schools, graduating from Bonham High School.
She was a member of Waples Memorial United Methodist Church, where she had many active years in the girls choir and the Chancel Choir.  She formerly served on the Board of Trustees as secretary and on the Administrative Board.  She was a member of the Lydia Circle of Waples United Methodist Women.  She was a member of Beta Zeta Master Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi in Denison.
Miss Zenthoefer was an accountant in the office of Isaac N. Burks, CPA, for 25 years.  She retired from Chapman Inc. in Sherman in 1986.
She is survived by sisters, Winnie Warmbier of Kerrville, and Muerlynn Zenthoefer of Denison; and by cousins, Mary Ann Allen of Arlington and Dorothy Lindberg of Tyler.
Pallbearers were Ken Lovell, David Burks, Jim Braswell, David Bayless, Sr., Crayton Hicks, Forest Taylor. Keith Hubbard and Lloyd Perkins.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Bratcher Funeral Home in Denison.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Waples Memorial United Methodist Church or to Home Hospice of Grayson County.
